  9. This is an update archive to change Iris V1.7 to V1.8.
  10. It uses GPatch, created by Ralph Gruner, which is included.

  12. New in V1.8 07-Feb-1999
  13. * New feature: optionally confirm messages larger than 10240 bytes.
  14. * A missing Content-Type header caused that the text was not displayed.
  15.   Fixed.
  16. * New quoted printable encoding routine that avoids lines with only a
  17.   period on them, which  may cause trouble.
  18. * Forwarded messages no longer get an In-Reply-To header.
  19. * New important messages are now marked in the flags column. Furthermore,
  20.   messages can be marked important or not with the Message/Mark menu
  21.   option.
  22. * Searching in the message list now ignores the flags column.
  23. * Faster Base64 decoding.
